On the BoF post about brand buzz: I was actually surprised that media was still at the top of the heap (although it’s declining). I would have thought that influencers would be at the top. Here in Canada, the media has been decimated, but perhaps it’s even worse here than other markets.
Hi - I so appreciate your comments and thoughtful notes. Here is my thought here - large brands (think big CPG, major players with lots of marketing $$$ and traditional legacy retailers) are still spending so much money on marketing in media and it costs a lot more. so I bet if we saw a breakdown with even more metrics (think the money to generate that buzz, cost per eyeball or something like that) the metrics would look different. All this to say, I think you are absolutely right to question it and would love to see more analytics around this so we could actually see a true picture of performance. Thank you thank you!
Great point! Would love to see the numbers breakdown - also wondering what they consider “media” these days. I suppose it means traditional media, but isn’t social media actually media, too?
What a good round up! I’m definitely too young to have appreciated sweet valley high in its heyday but it was a pillar of my childhood - will be watching!
I read all 100+ Sweet Valley High books that were published up until I was in Grade 6 or so. RIP!
I know. such an important part of me falling in love with reading.
Exactly! Same for me even though I lived in the countryside in Sweden!
Me too! I had notes with all of the titles that I had read. And the Kitty Drew detective books as well.

Can't lie, loving the MAD tote bag 😈
I agree. I think whether you like (know) what Madhappy is or not you might think it is just cool in general.
Loved Sweet Valley High books!
same. I was more of a Babysitters Club girl but I still read all of SVH!

I got a Target email last night about Blake's haircare line. I'm still waiting for someone to review Brooke Shields's hair care line, lol.
