So much juicy goodness! Loved your assessment of Larroude for so many reasons (have been a CD at a DTC shoe brand in my past life) and especially your wise rec for product page storytelling. We will understand and buy because of platforms like this one and writers like you; we are telling the stories consumers need to convert. Not the brands. Ahhh! So much good here. Grateful as ever.
I listened to Riccardo's on the Glossy podcast this week, and as someone who has been working with onli.eluxury fashion retailers, I find their strategy very interesting. Many brands should learn from them as I think this is the next step for independent and legacy brands. The conversation around knowing their production better is also so important because it is about producing sustainably. I also enjoy him telling how Italy or European made luxury products get more cachet when Brazil is a country with a great know-how, yet it is so underrated.
Agree with all of this. Thrilled to see brands thinking outside of the box (even here with examples and reason to believe it will work based on other business models.)
Hi Sarah, I was devouring your piece, loving the deep dive into Larroude , got to your recs and was thrilled to see my piece on Miuccia Prada included! Thank you so much, as a newby to Substack it is double appreciated.

Yes! Want to hear everyone’s thoughts on rhode beauty’s wholesale potential. Thanks for the shoutout, friend!
Here for that conversation!
Great read as always (I’m becoming a broken record)!
I first learned about Larroudé on Hillary Kerr’s Second Life podcast a couple years ago - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/second-life/id1347626043?i=1000578394769
Such a cool brand!
I loved Second Life! Great recommendation. Thanks for adding.
