THIS: “It wasn’t that Dorsey was early to lab grown, it is that Dorsey created the market as being a thing and desirable.” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I loved reading this thoughtful piece. Bravo, Meg Strachan!

This feature says it all! It’s why I loved Dorsey’s pieces to begin with The casual elegance that were not cost prohibitive! The more I know, the more I love!

LOVED this Brand Crush feature! A true deep dive into a brand that's entered everyone's subconscious within the last year. Their pieces are stunning...but their business strategy may be even better.

Meg is a gem herself — and it's phenomenal to see a female founder with heart succeeding at a brand that stemmed from love.

I’ve wanted to try some pieces - thank you for the through write up! Does the sterling tarnish? That’s been my hesitation.

I haven't had any issues with tarnishing. The quality is incredibly impressive. I've also found the brand to be very responsive. And I've heard that from others too if there are ever any questions or issues.

I adore Meg and what she’s building. I have a special appreciation for how involved and connected she is to her customers. This sort of high touch engagement from a founder feels rare and special. Such a fab brand crush Sarah!!

First-rate Brand Crush analysis! Also, this would be a cool deep dive in and of itself: “I watched as the diamond industry was changing from male dominated and a gift to a self-purchase and more women leading the businesses.”

I'll make a note. I have a few thoughts around this and love watching the industry pivot around this change. Thank you for tagging.

Maybe my experiences are not the norm, but the thing that is lacking for me with Dorsey is the quality. It’s just not there. The clasp on a bracelet I bought was poorly designed and caught on every sweater, and finally broke altogether. And the gold finish in that bracelet and the Clemence necklace I purchased wore right off and they almost immediately became a strange tone in between silver and gold. I know people have gone crazy for this brand but I won’t be purchasing anything new, and will definitely save my money for solid gold pieces only in the future.
